In November 2020, I was given the brief to write an article for the Jersey Life December 2020/January 2021 edition and came up with Writing to Heal. 

From the age of seven, when life got me down, I reached for a pen and paper.  Poetry at first which morphed into song lyrics in my teens as I offloaded all my teenage angst. I would also bombard my English teacher with scrappy handwritten pages of short stories.  Poor chap!  But he encouraged me to write and I won a couple writing competitions.

Sometimes it is hard to talk to someone else about how you feel inside,  even those closest to you. So try it... write down your innermost feelings. Let your emotions flow out on to paper and heal yourself.
